Viktoria Ritter

Viktoria Ritter, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of the Goethe University Frankfurt, licensed cognitive-behavioral therapist and supervisor. Her research focuses on understanding and treatment of body dysmorphic disorder and social anxiety disorder. Recently, she investigated face perception in body dysmorphic disorder. Currently, she conducts a randomized controlled trial on cognitive therapy for patients with body dysmorphic disorder. Dr. Ritter published several peer-reviewed articles on basic research and treatment of social anxiety and body dysmorphic disorder, book chapters, and a self-help book for patients with body dysmorphic disorder. A manual on cognitive-and emotion-focused therapy of body dysmorphic disorder is in preparation.
